How much to consume?

A small dose is 10g and a ceremonial dose is 35g to 42g. The amount to use per serve is up to you and take into account time of day, what is the intention for use etc.
One cup per day is the recommended amount however you can also have more but please check in with yourself and body if you are actually requiring the second cup.

Does cacao have caffeine?

What is the difference between Natural Chunks and Smooth?

They are both the same product they have just been prepared differently. Natural chunks is in its original form. Smooth I have pre-shaved the chunks so it is a ready to go option for you.

Why is ceremonial cacao good for you?

Ceremonial cacao is a superfood that is packed with many benefits such as:

  • High in Magnesium, Iron and Calcium
  • Packed with antioxidants
  • Contains anandamide (known as the bliss molecule)
  • Contains phenylethylamine (which assists in stabalising your mood, clears your head)
  • Contains theobromine (a natural stimulant)

What is the difference between cacao powder and ceremonial cacao?

When cacao powder is produced it is put through a process that removes the oils and fats; which also removes many of the nutrients. Ceremonial cacao is prepared in a way that allows the product to be as close to its natural form therefore keeping all the nutritious vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Can I drink cacao when pregnant or breastfeeding?

Yes, and all the nutrients could be good during this time; however please use a smaller dose and consult your healthcare professional.

Is there any medications that can cause problems with cacao?

Anti-depressants have a similar chemical compound to cacao, so it is recommended to have a smaller dose and consult your healthcare professional to discuss further.

If you have high blood pressure please also consult your healthcare professional as the theobromine in cacao can increase your heart rate.
