Ceremonial Cacao

We ensure your ceremonial cacao is as close to its natural state as possible, with minimal processing along the way. After the bean (seeds) have been fermented and sun-dried they are then ground into a paste and pressed into a big blocks. Processing this way allows all the good fats and nutrients to remain in the Cacao therefore making it a superfood.

Ceremonial cacao is packed with beneficial minerals that are vital to our body. Not only is it high in copper, calcium, manganese, zinc, iron and phosphorous.  It is also one of the highest naturally occurring sources of Magnesium. Hi I’m Kylee

I am the founder of Soul Alchemy Cacao, I started working with Ceremonial Cacao in 2019. I weaved it through some of my rituals/practices and found it really helped me channelling energy, manifestations and tap into more creativity, joy and expression.

Not only did it help with my spiritual side it actually really helped with my health. A few years ago i became sensitive to coffee and other caffeinated items even some natural stimulants i couldn’t have either. Then after doing research and releasing that Cacao does have caffeine it didn’t dissolve in my body the same so I was really excited to know i could have a pick me up with out having to be awake all night. It has helped my menstrual cycle and cramping and I love how much magnesium it has in it. Cacao was a lifesaver when i was studying as it helped me concentrate and my brain less foggy.

I then started sharing my cacao with friends and then wanted to share this medicine with everyone, as I know how much she has done for me. Now I refer to her as she as the energy that cacao and the business of Soul Alchemy feels like a warming sister or friend. I hope she feels like that for you too.

FAQ

How much to consume?

A small dose is 10g and a ceremonial dose is 35g to 42g. The amount to use per serve is up to you and take into account time of day, what is the intention for use etc.
One cup per day is the recommended amount however you can also have more but please check in with yourself and body if you are actually requiring the second cup.

Does cacao have caffeine?

Yes, however it is released differently in your body. It is a lower amount than a coffee and is released slower. I personally can not drink coffee as my body takes a long time to process it and cacao does not have the same affect for me. If you are worried start on a smaller dose and work up.

What is the difference between Natural Chunks and Smooth?

They are both the same product they have just been prepared differently. Natural chunks is in its original form. Smooth I have pre-shaved the chunks so it is a ready to go option for you.

Why is ceremonial cacao good for you?

Ceremonial cacao is a superfood that is packed with many benefits such as:

  • High in Magnesium, Iron and Calcium
  • Packed with antioxidants
  • Contains anandamide (known as the bliss molecule)
  • Contains phenylethylamine (which assists in stabalising your mood, clears your head)
  • Contains theobromine (a natural stimulant)

What is the difference between cacao powder and ceremonial cacao?

When cacao powder is produced it is put through a process that removes the oils and fats; which also removes many of the nutrients. Ceremonial cacao is prepared in a way that allows the product to be as close to its natural form therefore keeping all the nutritious vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Can I drink cacao when pregnant or breastfeeding?

Yes, and all the nutrients could be good during this time; however please use a smaller dose and consult your healthcare professional.

Is there any medications that can cause problems with cacao?

Anti-depressants have a similar chemical compound to cacao, so it is recommended to have a smaller dose and consult your healthcare professional to discuss further.

If you have high blood pressure please also consult your healthcare professional as the theobromine in cacao can increase your heart rate.
